Who is Jay Koostix?

I never set out thinking I’d become a musician. For a long time, I actually believed it was too late for me. Life was full—family, work, responsibilities—and music felt like something reserved for people who had started young or had some special gift I didn’t.

But then something shifted during the 2020 pandemic. I purchased a guitar just to learn as therapy while stuck at home. However, the movement of the string, became my therapy, and that rhythm opened a door I didn’t know I needed. I picked up an acoustic guitar just to have an outlet, and before I knew it, I was hooked. That first spark led me to learning piano, songwriting, singing, performing live, producing, mixing, mastering—the whole process of making music from beginning to end. Somewhere along the way, the bug bit me hard. Music wasn’t just something I did—it became part of who I am.

What surprised me most wasn’t just how much I learned, but how much it changed me. Music became healing. It gave me peace, it gave me confidence, and it gave me a voice I never thought I had.

That’s why I started The Creator’s Arena. It’s more than a music education company—it’s a place for people like me and you who might have thought it was “too late” to start. In The Arena, we don’t just practice music, we master the arena of the mind—the doubts, the fears, the “what ifs.” Because once you conquer that, you can conquer anything in music.

If I could go from zero experience to learning guitar, piano, songwriting, singing, producing, and more—it’s proof that anyone can step into their own arena. And I’d love to help you find that same breakthrough.
